Hanna is an acupuncturist and naturopathic nutritionist. She draws on both the traditional diagnostic skills of Chinese Medicine and naturopathic nutritional techniques to advise and support her patients with acupuncture and dietary advice. She’s a highly skilled practitioner with over 13 years practical experience.
She orders functional tests, stool tests, food intolerance profiles, thyroid and hormonal panels and plans individually tailored dietary and supplement programmes which really mark her style of acupuncture out as being both in-depth and diagnostically up-to-date. She’s well known in the area for her expertise as well as her warmth and hands-on care and support. Most of her patients are referred by other professionals or by personal recommendation.
The main body of Hanna’s work is in women’s health – she specialises in pre-conception and fertility acupuncture, including IVF support and preparation for both men and women.
She is a highly experienced pregnancy acupuncturist. Her patients come for help with morning sickness, pelvic pain, sciatica, headaches but also for ‘moxa’ to turn breech babies; to prepare women for labour from 36 weeks and to induce labour naturally if overdue.
She frequently supports patients with migraines, digestive problems, menstrual and menopausal issues, anxiety, insomnia, depression and pain management with both acupuncture and nutrition.
She trained in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) and Five Element Acupuncture at the College of Integrated Medicine in Reading www.acupuncturecollege.org.uk and is a long-term member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAaC) www.acupuncture.org.uk.
She completed a further three year diploma in naturopathic nutrition with the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London www.naturopathy-uk.com and is a member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) www.bant.org.uk
Her original holistic training was in body work – she trained in San Francisco in the 1990’s with Meir Schneider in massage, movement and Bates-style vision exercises to help congenital eye diseases, muscular dystrophy, M.S as well as other chronic conditions www.schoolforselfhealing.com.
